Logos Hope’s will be in Seychelles and a Floating Book Paradise Awaits!

Mark your calendars, book lovers of Seychelles, as there will be a floating bookstore in Seychelles!

The Logos Hope, a floating bookstore like no other and is set to dock at the New Port in Victoria on the 10th of August.

This iconic vessel, operated by GBA Ships, brings with it a collection of over 5,000 books, cultural exchange, and a sense of global community.

While the ship arrives on the 10th, it will open its doors to the public from the 11th to the 16th of August, providing ample time to dive into the literary wonders it has to offer.

Starting from the 11th of August, the Logos Hope warmly welcomes Seychellois residents and visitors alike.  The book fair, a literary extravaganza like no other, will be open daily from morning till evening. Allowing ample time for enthusiasts to explore the extensive collection of books.

Admission Fee and Age Limit:

To board this floating oasis of books, there is an admission fee of scr 10.  Ensuring that everyone can access this literary haven. As for age restrictions, there is no minimum age limit for visitors. However, minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Books for All Budgets:

The Logos Hope brings affordable literary gems to Seychelles. The prices of books will start around SCR50, making it accessible for all. For most books, the price point will be around SCR100 or more, still a reasonable cost for the wealth of knowledge they offer.

Seychellois Volunteers Embrace the Opportunity: In the spirit of cultural exchange, a group of enthusiastic local volunteers will join the Logos Hope crew during their stay in Seychelles. This collaboration promises to enhance the experience, bridging gaps between different cultures and fostering unity.

Cultural Performances and International Café:

Beyond the books, the Logos Hope offers much more! Visitors can experience the vibrant “Meet The World” event on Monday, 14th August, from 6 pm to 7:30 pm, featuring captivating dances and performances from diverse cultural backgrounds. Tickets can be purchased in the book fair.

While exploring the ship, visitors can also enjoy refreshments at the International Café, where a delightful selection of coffee, ice-cream, popcorn, snacks, and beverages will be available for purchase.

There will also on the 12th between 3-5pm there’s an event for ladies “wonderfully made”.  A time for women to come together and to encourage each other.

“Meet the World” and “Wonderfully Made” will be the two events we would like you to promote.

Enjoying the Logos Hope Experience:

There’s no strict time limit for visitors on the ship, but to ensure everyone gets a chance to enjoy, an hour is recommended for exploration. Patience is appreciated during peak hours as others may be waiting to board. An umbrella and a bottle of water are advisable for comfort during potential waiting times.

To facilitate smooth traffic flow at the Port, you’re kindly requested to drop off and park your vehicles in designated areas, such as around the Playground, to avoid blocking the Port Parking.
