When people see the vibrant artwork representing Regatta 2026, they will be looking at far more than the official branding for one of Seychelles’ biggest annual events. They will be seeing a powerful symbol of creativity, inclusion and the spirit behind this year’s theme, “We Are One.”

The official artwork for Regatta 2026 has been created by Samuel Morel, a talented young Seychellois deaf artist whose creative vision captures the colour, excitement and community spirit that have made Regatta one of the country’s most loved traditions.

Samuel’s involvement in this year’s event is especially significant. It highlights the importance of recognising talent, embracing diversity and creating opportunities for everyone to shine. His artwork is a reminder that creativity has no barriers and that ability should always be celebrated above disability.

His appointment also carries an even deeper meaning this year, as one of the charities benefiting from Regatta 2026 will be initiatives supporting the deaf community in Seychelles. Having a talented deaf artist create the festival’s official artwork perfectly reflects the event’s commitment to inclusion while helping raise awareness of the community the festival will be supporting.

Art is a universal language, and Samuel’s design beautifully communicates the excitement of Regatta through colour, movement and energy. It reflects everything the festival stands for, bringing together people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities to celebrate sport, culture, entertainment and community.

The “We Are One” theme is perfectly embodied in Samuel’s story. It reminds us that when opportunities are created for everyone, our communities become stronger, richer and more united. His success is an inspiration to young people across Seychelles, proving that passion, determination and talent can overcome barriers and create opportunities.

As preparations continue for Regatta 2026, taking place from 2nd to 4th October at Beau Vallon, Samuel’s artwork will become one of the defining images of this year’s celebrations, appearing across promotional campaigns, event branding and digital platforms.

Inside Seychelles is proud to be the Official Media Partner of Regatta 2026 and is honoured to share Samuel Morel’s inspiring story. His artwork is more than a beautiful design; it represents the values at the heart of Regatta and reminds us that this festival is about bringing people together.

This year, as Seychelles celebrates Regatta 2026, with the theme of We Are One, Samuel Morel’s contribution stands as a powerful example of what that message truly means: recognising talent, embracing inclusion and supporting communities that make our islands stronger.

Congratulations to Samuel Morel on this remarkable achievement. We look forward to seeing his artwork inspire thousands of visitors as Regatta returns to Beau Vallon this October.
