What’s Waiting for You at Regatta 2026 – And How to Make the Most of the Weekend

Regatta Weekend is here!

One of Seychelles’ biggest and best-loved weekends is heading back to Beau Vallon from Friday 2nd to Sunday 4th October 2026, bringing three days of music, sport, entertainment, competitions, food, dancing and that unmistakable Regatta atmosphere.

Whether Regatta is an annual tradition for you or this is your first time experiencing it, there’s always plenty happening and sometimes the best part is simply heading down to Beau Vallon and seeing where the day takes you!

From Miss Regatta and the famous Greasy Pole to beach sports, boxing, DJs, live bands, Moutya and plenty of entertainment, here’s what’s waiting for you at Regatta 2026.

Arrive Early to Soak Up the Atmosphere

If there’s one piece of advice we can give you… don’t wait until the evening to head down! Regatta is just as much about the atmosphere around Beau Vallon as it is about the headline events.  Take your time, wander around, check out the stalls, grab something to eat, meet up with friends and enjoy everything happening around you.

On Saturday and Sunday, activities start from 10am, so there’s plenty happening throughout the day before the evening entertainment begins.

And if you’re heading down on Friday, the Main Stage entertainment gets underway from 4pm.

Beau Vallon Beach comes alive with colour and energy during Regatta. Arriving early gives you the perfect opportunity to browse the stalls before they get crowded, grab the best spot on the sand to watch the games or secure seating for the entertainment.  Full Weekend Schedule will be released soon – stay tuned! 

Buy a Lottery Ticket for a Good Cause

Don’t forget to grab your Regatta Lottery ticket! Not only do you stand a chance to win fantastic prizes, including a Suzuki Brezza Smart Hybrid AT, and a Yamaha Ray ZR 125cc, but you’ll also be supporting a great cause. This year, proceeds every ticket sold benefiting the Deaf and hard-of-hearing community, including the Deaf Centre, while also supporting continued fundraising for the Regatta Site development and Beau Vallon Family Park. Tickets will still be sold over the weekend, with winners announced on 31st October, Gordon Square, Victoria.

Don’t Miss Miss Regatta 2026

Definitely one of the big moments of the weekend!

Miss Regatta 2026 takes place on Saturday 3rd October, with the build-up beginning on the Main Stage from 6pm and the competition starting at 6:30pm.

This year’s contestants will take to the stage in front of what is always one of the biggest crowds of the Regatta weekend.  It’s a celebration of confidence, personality and empowerment, as the contestants enjoy their moment on one of Seychelles’ biggest stages.

Get there early, find yourself a good spot and get ready to cheer them on!  And don’t head home afterwards as the Live Music Show starts from 8:30pm, with the Saturday night party continuing into the early hours.

Get Into the Sporting Spirit

Regatta and sport go hand in hand and there’s plenty happening across the weekend. Friday evening sees boxing taking place at the Basketball Court from 6pm, with the prize-giving expected around 9pm.

On Saturday, head down from 10am for the Education Regatta and Beach Volleyball, before the volleyball winners take to the Main Stage for their prize-giving at 6pm.

Then Sunday starts bright and early!

The Cycling Competition leaves from the Promenade at 6:30am, followed from 10am by a packed morning of activities including Beach Football, Traditional Games, Kartye Maron dan Bovalon and of course, one of the events everyone loves to watch the Greasy Pole!

Sports prize-giving takes place on the Main Stage from 6pm on Sunday. Full schedule released soon!

The Greasy Pole is Back!

It wouldn’t feel like Regatta without it!!  The Greasy Pole Competition takes place from 10am on Sunday, in front of the Main Stage.

It sounds simple enough, until you actually try it!  Whether you’re brave enough to take part or you’re much happier standing on the sidelines watching everyone else try, it’s always one of those classic Regatta moments that brings plenty of laughs and a big crowd.

Taste, Browse & Enjoy

Come hungry!  Part of the fun of Regatta is wandering around Beau Vallon, seeing what’s on offer and finding something good to eat or drink along the way.

Make time to explore the different stalls and support the businesses and vendors taking part over the weekend and don’t rush it. Regatta is one of those weekends where you can arrive planning to stay for a couple of hours and somehow still be there much, much later!

Inside Seychelles tip: Keep some cash handy as well as your cards or phone, it can make life much easier when things get busy.

Regatta is Fun For the All The Family

Regatta isn’t just about the late-night party. Head down during the day and there’s plenty for families to enjoy together, particularly across Saturday and Sunday. Watch the sports, experience the traditional games, grab something to eat, enjoy the beach and take in the entertainment.  Sunday should be a particularly good day for families, with activities running throughout the morning before live entertainment begins on the Main Stage from 2pm.

Live Music, DJs & Late Nights

If you’re coming for the music and the party, you’re definitely going to want to make a weekend of it. Friday night features a huge DJ Battle from 9pm until 2am, following the Opening Show and boxing.

Saturday brings live bands during the afternoon, Miss Regatta in the evening and a Live Music Show from 8:30pm, with DJs keeping things going until the 2am shutdown.

And on Sunday, things take a more traditional turn with Moutya by Seybrew at 6pm, followed by the Live Music Closing Show from 7pm.

So whether you’re into DJs, bands, live performances or traditional Seychelles sounds, there’s something across the three days for you.

Go With the Flow!

Regatta is one of those weekends where sometimes the best plan is not to have too much of a plan. Meet your friends. Wander around. Try something to eat. Stop and watch a competition you weren’t expecting to see. Dance when you hear a song you love. Cheer on the contestants. And enjoy having so many people together at Beau Vallon.

That’s what Regatta is all about.
