Willow is a sweet, gentle adult boy who just wants someone to love. Friendly and affectionate, he already knows how to sit and is always happy to be around people. He’s been in the shelter since March 2024 and is more than ready for a home of his own. All he needs is someone to give him that chance.
Whitey is a sweet young dog who was surrendered by their owner and is now in need of extra care. Very skinny from stress, Whitey just needs a little time, love, and patience to feel safe again. They are incredibly gentle and would benefit from fostering or adopting...someone to give them the TLC they truly deserve.
McGonagall is a adult stray with a quiet, gentle presence. Though her past is unknown, she has a calm and sweet nature that shines through. She’s ready for a safe, loving home where she can finally relax and be cared for. All she needs is someone to give her that chance.
Xyla and Keta are two beautiful young dogs who may look alike, but have their own unique personalities. One is a little timid and gentle, while the other is very friendly and full of confidence. Together, they make a lovely pair and would bring both sweetness and joy into a home ready to give them love and patience.
Lucy is a adult stray with a quiet, gentle nature. Though her past is unknown, she has a soft sweetness about her that’s hard to miss. She’s ready for a calm, loving home where she can feel safe and truly settle in. All Lucy needs is someone to give her that chance.
Jesse is a sweet and loving dog who has been in the shelter for 4–5 years. She came to us malnourished and showing signs of past abuse, but she has come so far and is now full of love and happiness. Jesse has a special bond with her kennel friend Missy, who is also looking for a forever home. If you’re ready to give love to two deserving dogs, this caring duo could be the perfect pair for you.
James and Leo are two timid adult dogs who are gentle, sweet, and ready to find a loving home. Though a little shy at first, they quickly warm up and show their affectionate, loyal sides. This bonded duo would make a wonderful addition to a caring family who can give them patience, love, and a safe space to grow confident.
These lovely cats may not have detailed stories yet, but each one is waiting for a chance to be seen, loved, and chosen. Every face you see here has their own personality, their own journey, and so much love to give. If one catches your eye, it could be the start of something special. Come meet them...you might just find your perfect companion.
Grace is a Young–Adult girl who has come such a long way. She arrived at the shelter skinny, neglected, and very scared of people, but with care and patience, she’s learned to trust again. Now, Grace is thriving...she enjoys playing with other dogs, knows how to sit, and is showing her happy, gentle nature. She is sterilized and ready for a forever home where she can continue to grow in confidence and feel safe and loved.
Grace’s Story
Grace’s journey hasn’t been easy. At a young age, she arrived at the shelter skinny, neglected, and afraid of people.
But with time, patience, and kindness, everything began to change. Today, Grace is learning to trust, playing happily with other dogs, and showing her gentle, loving nature more each day.
She knows how to sit, she’s sterilized, and she’s ready for something she’s never truly had…a safe, loving home.
All Grace needs now… is someone to choose her. 💛
Other Ways You Can Help
Support doesn’t always have to be financial. The shelter is always looking for volunteers and foster carers to help with daily care, socialising animals, and giving them the attention they need while they wait for permanent homes.
There are many ways you can make a real difference:
- Donate supplies such as food, newspapers, and cat litter
- Take part in the Coins for Cash scheme
- Make a direct donation
- Volunteer your time
- Become a foster carer
- Share their appeal to help spread the word
You can also donate through local pet shops including Galaxy Petshop, Connections Trading Pet Shop (Providence), and The Pet Store (online). All funds go directly towards animal feed and treatment costs. Simply make your donation at the shop, then WhatsApp or text the details to +248 2710088.
Setting up a monthly direct debit is another powerful way to help. Even small contributions…the cost of a couple of coffees or cocktails each month, can make a big difference over time. Small sacrifice, big impact.
Local businesses can also get involved by supporting essential services such as cleaning, maintenance, gardening, construction, and utility or communication costs. Get in touch with SSPCA to see how your business can help support the community.
Every little bit helps, and right now, support is more important than ever.
