Latest Updates on Upcoming Local Food Fest
Who & What to Expect at Local Food Fest
Now that you’ve marked your calendar, let’s talk about who you’ll be seeing and what you definitely don’t want to miss…because this lineup? It’s something special.
From well-loved local brands to top hotels, creative food concepts, and passionate producers, this year’s Local Food Fest is bringing together an incredible mix of flavours and experiences.
You’ll find names like, Val Riche, STA, Savoy & Coral Strand, Hilton Seychelles Northolme, Hilton Mango House, Canopy by Hilton, DoubleTree by Hilton, Minor Hotels (Anantara Maia & Avani), Club Med, Story Seychelles, Constance Ephelia, and more…all adding their own twist to the celebration.
But beyond the big names, it’s the unique stories and experiences at each stall that really make this festival come alive.
Here’s a little taste of what’s waiting for you:
Zil Kreol is bringing something truly one-of-a-kind to this year’s festival with the launch of Lougarou Lager—Seychelles’ very first cassava beer, brewed exclusively for the 50th Independence celebrations. This isn’t just a drink, it’s a story in a glass. Made in collaboration with local farmers, the cassava has been carefully developed to create a clean, natural flavour, without added sugars or preservatives. At their stall, you won’t just taste it, you’ll learn about it too, with the team sharing how this unique brew came to life. They’ll also be mixing things up with creative beer cocktails and tastings, giving you a whole new way to experience a truly local ingredient.
We have worked with local farmers to work through the cassava beer, tailoring the local root for taste, adding no sugars, preservatives and etc. It is as local as it gets. I think that would be a great story to cover, as it’s the first of its kind
KokoSey is where tradition meets innovation. As an agro-processor focused on sustainability, they’re transforming local, climate-resilient crops into everyday products you can actually use at home. Expect to discover everything from breadfruit flour waffles and mini doughnuts to a variety of wellness teas, coconut-based cooking oils, dried fruits, and natural powders for baking and smoothies. You’ll be able to sample their newest tea blends, like soursop, lemongrass, and cinnamon leaf…as well as refreshing juices made from banana stem and villea. Everything is 100% natural, with no additives or preservatives, and rooted in a bigger mission… supporting local farmers and turning seasonal produce into long-lasting, high-value products.
East Indies is creating a full-on experience with their Creole Cocktail Village. Their space will feel like a tropical island bar, designed with natural elements and a warm, welcoming Seychellois atmosphere. Behind the bar, you’ll find a lineup of premium spirits, beers, and ciders…but the real highlight is their Creole-inspired cocktails, made using fresh local fruits and flavours. Throughout the festival, they’ll be hosting live cocktail demonstrations, tastings, and interactive sessions where you can explore new flavours and techniques. There’ll also be fun photo opportunities and special giveaways, making it a lively stop whether you’re there to sip, learn, or just enjoy the vibe.
Our signature attraction will be a Creole Cocktail Experience, where visitors can discover tropical cocktails inspired by Seychelles using fresh local fruits and ingredients. The stand itself will be designed with a distinctive Seychellois theme, incorporating natural décor and a warm island atmosphere.
Hilton Seychelles is bringing together flavours from across its properties to create a menu that blends international flair with local inspiration. Prawn tempura sushi rolls and fresh vegetable rolls from Mango House, flavour-packed chicken shawarma from Northolme, soft bao buns filled with Creole chicken sausage from Canopy, and rich beef and potato croquettes from DoubleTree. It’s a great chance to sample a variety of dishes all in one place. Even better, Hilton is partnering with the National Children’s Council Seychelles (NCCS), offering complimentary meal vouchers to support the community…so your visit also contributes to something meaningful.
Foutaleza is all about creating a relaxed, social experience around great drinks. Alongside their signature handcrafted cocktails, they’ll be offering discounted festival specials and new sharing-size cocktails designed for groups, perfect if you’re coming with friends. One of the standout features will be the launch of their Cocktail Making Experience, hosted by owner Steven Rioux. These small, interactive sessions give you the chance to learn how to make rum-based cocktails in a fun, hands-on setting. Add to that their laid-back lounge-style setup and tropical atmosphere, and it’s the kind of place you’ll want to linger a little longer.
Takamaka is going all in on celebrating local ingredients, building their entire cocktail menu around what’s grown right here in Seychelles. Expect fresh, vibrant flavours like passion fruit, mandarine, lemongrass, coconut water, and house-made coconut syrup, all paired with their signature rum. One of the must-try highlights is their refreshing mandarine slushie, perfect for the island heat. Keep an eye out for their fun reusable pineapple cups and their popular 3L cocktail pouches, ideal for sharing with friends. Their team will also be moving through the festival offering tastings, and their Creole-themed photo setup, complete with a branded mini Moke…makes for a perfect island-style photo moment.
And that’s just the beginning.
You’ll also come across local favourites and hidden gems like Delplace, Vallée des Fruits, Laila & Kaz Kreol, Popsey, Maison Marengo, HH Farm, Cassava Tavern, Lakwizin Manman Lao, Green House Restaurant, the Culture Department, and many more each bringing their own flavours, creativity, and stories to the table.
Come curious, come hungry, and don’t be afraid to try something new. This is Seychelles, after all…flavour is part of the experience.
Stay tuned… we’re just getting started. More tasty updates are coming your way as we reveal what each spot has in store.
Inside Seychelles will be part of the action at the Tourism Village within the Local Food Festival. Visitors are invited to stop by, connect, and experience the flavours with us.

Let’s be honest…there are food festivals, and then there are Seychellois food festivals. And this one? It’s the kind you tell your friends about before you’ve even left.
This June, we’re celebrating 50 years of independence the best way we know how, through flavour, culture, and good vibes…at the Local Food Fest. It’s not just about eating (though you’ll definitely want to come hungry); it’s about experiencing the heart of Seychelles through its flavours.
And the atmosphere? Lively, welcoming, and filled with feel-good island vibes…where every bite and every moment is meant to be shared.
