Finalist announced for 2026 Seychelles Sports Awards
The finalists for the 2026 Seychelles Sports Awards are officially announced, and excitement is already building for ceremony on 28th February. After weeks of careful deliberation, the selection committee has now revealed the top athletes across multiple categories. Highlighting their dedication, discipline and outstanding performances shown throughout the 2025 sporting season.
🌟 A New Sporting Chapter
This year’s shortlist reflects a changing of the guard in Seychellois sport, with fresh faces stepping into the spotlight. With previous senior award holders not among this year’s finalists, we are guaranteed to see new Sportsman and Sportswoman of the Year crowned for 2026.
From athletics and boxing to swimming, volleyball, football, weightlifting and water sports, the diversity of disciplines represented demonstrates the incredible depth of talent across the islands.

The finalists in the senior male and female categories include some of the country’s most consistent and high-performing athletes. Many of them have represented Seychelles at regional and international level.

The Male and Female Junior Athlete categories once again shine a light on the future of Seychellois sport. These young talents have impressed through youth championships, regional competitions and breakthrough senior performances.
The future looks incredibly bright, with several of the finalists already making waves beyond our shores.

🎉 The Big Night – 28th February 2026
The awards ceremony will take place in the elegant setting of the Berjaya Beau Vallon Bay Resort & Casino on the evening of 28th February. More than just a celebration of the winners, the evening will also recognise the incredible effort, sacrifice and pride that Seychelles athletes consistently bring to their sport year after year.
From grassroots dedication to international representation, the Sports Awards remain one of the most prestigious evenings in the Seychellois sporting calendar.
Inside Seychelles, is proud to celebrate local talent and give a platform to the athletes who inspire the next generation.
