Visitor Arrivals Up by 12%! Asia and the Americas Bring the Buzz
It’s official, Seychelles is having a very good year! Visitor numbers are up 12% so far, with 308,854 arrivals recorded by mid-October 2025. That’s already 32,000 more visitors than the same time last year!
And the best part? We’re welcoming more travellers from Asia and the Americas than ever before… showing that our little paradise is making waves right across the globe.
✈️
Who’s Visiting Seychelles?
Europe is still our biggest fan (69% of all visitors), but the spotlight is definitely widening.
-
Asia saw a massive 31% jump, thanks to more visitors from India (+85%), China (+92%), and Israel (+65%).
-
The Americas also rose by 17%, with more adventurers from the United States flying in for a taste of island life.
This means visitors are coming from farther and wider… and that’s exactly what Seychelles’ tourism teams have been aiming for. More variety, more connections, and a beautifully mixed crowd of island lovers!
✈️
Flights, Flights, Flights!
Big thanks to new and improved air connections – it’s now easier than ever to get here!
Air Seychelles relaunched its daily flights to Abu Dhabi, connecting us smoothly to Etihad’s global network. Add to that extra routes from India, China, Israel, and the Gulf carriers, and you’ve got a recipe for packed planes and smiling arrivals!
✈️
Tourism = Big Boost for the Economy
According to the Central Bank of Seychelles, tourism brought in nearly 42% of the country’s foreign exchange so far this year… that’s huge!
Foreign reserves have grown to USD 861 million, thanks in large part to strong tourism earnings. More visitors mean more confidence, more jobs, and more happy businesses across the islands.
✈️
Still a Holiday Hotspot
Almost 9 out of 10 visitors are here for leisure… no surprise there! Seychelles continues to shine as a luxury beach destination. But with growing interest in eco-tourism, wellness, and cultural travel, the future looks even more exciting (and sustainable).
✈️
Looking Ahead
With weekly arrivals now topping 9,000 visitors, 2025 is shaping up to be one of the strongest years since the pandemic. The shift toward new markets shows that diversification is working, Seychelles is staying true to its charm while welcoming the world with open arms.
So, whether they’re coming for the beaches, the food, the Creole culture, or that perfect sunset selfie… one thing’s for sure – the world just can’t get enough of Seychelles!
