Freediving Pool Competition

The first-ever national freediving pool competition is to be held in Seychelles on the 23rd of July 2023!!
The pool competition will include two disciplines.
1)Static Apnea (STA): A discipline in which a person holds their breath (apnea) underwater for as long as possible, and need not swim any distance.
2) Dynamic Apnea (DYN): A discipline whereby the diver swims a set distance, such as 25 meters (82 feet) or 50 meters (164 feet), while holding their breath. The goal is to swim as far as possible while maintaining good technique and body position and to increase the distance over time.
Anyone who would like to join the competition must be 16+ years of age, completed the AIDA medical form and must have done a level AIDA one course or successful evaluation from an international Freediving organisation.
Prizes will be awarded to the best athletes!
